Hi , We are trying to mix loops with live music in Acid 6. Is there a way to hear both the loops playing and the live music at the same time? kairosmatt |

Right click on the track number box in the header of the track you're recording and there's some options for "input monitoring" . Input > Input monitoring. Sounds like that option might be turned off maybe? Message last edited on1/20/2009 2:52:48 PM bylofreequency. |

Thanks lofreequency, When I right click on the number, I don't have options for input. There is a 'record input' and that gives me option for: Stereo, Left, Right. I searched "input monitoring" in the help and it said I should click the "record device selector" button, but that only gives me the option for stereo, left, right also. Any other ideas? It seems like there is a basic setup thing that I just can't find! kairosmatt |

Sorry, not sure what to do then. Maybe it has something to do with your audio interface/soundcard configuration or maybe it doesn't support that feature? In the help section under input monitoring it says you may be limited by your computer performance and audio hardware. (I'm looking at Acid Pro 7's help, but I upgraded from AP6...think its the same info) Maybe poke around the the Options > Preferences > Audio Devices settings? To use software input monitoring you need to use ASIO drivers for your Sound hardware. There are ASIO drivers available for your Sound Blaster card. If you have not already installed them, you should. Then select the SoundBlaster ASIO drivers in ACID. Once this is set up, then ACID will expose the input monitoring feature. Note: This is covered in the ACID 6 users manual. Note: The Creative provided ASIO drivers only permit 48 khz sampling rate. Peter |
