KOMPAKT not showing up in Acid 6 -ACID Product Family

On my desktop it shows up no problem and works great. On my laptop (with all the files in default folders - just like the desktop) nothing shows up in the VST instruments tab under preferences even when I refresh. The default folder is correct and when I refresh the VST effects tab a message states that it's loading the KOMPAKT .dll but then... nothing appears under either VST tab. Any suggestions?
