screen motion capture

What software is available (free?) that will capture what is happening on a screen and save it into a file that can be used in a video?

A client has used a neat new startup called Prezi to create a cool zooming presentation.

I need to capture what's happening on the screen in pretty high quality to use it on a dvd I'll create inside vegas. Any ideas? Maybe the same software folks use for training videos? Thanks!

Debugmode's Wink is free and I have used it in screen capture for training videos.

Aviscreen Classic is free. There's a pro version too that costs $$.

Another good one is CamStudio. (Not to be confused with Camtasia, which is also good, but not free.)

I have recently used CamStudio [what Rob suggested]. It's basic, but works well. CPU overhead is pretty low and it has enough features to accomplish many tasks.
