I have omnisphere and i am trying to automate a cutoff dial. The way i usually automate other soft synths:
insert soft synth envelope and click the parameter i want most soft synths have a name for each parameter in this window. this creates a linear line that i can manually go in and automate by adding points and adjusting them accordingly.

Omnisphere has 1-13000 possible automation slots with no names just numbers - i believe intended for users to set them or map them?

So this is what i am trying now :
right click on the cutoff knob and click midi learn. the cutoff now moves with my midi controller dial. I click automation ( touch ) on the soft synth in the mixer bar. i hit play and as it plays i twiddle the knob - i can hear the adjustment but i dont see any visual off it and it doesnt record the moves.

How do I get it show up with a linear representation and/or how do I get acid to record the moves????

Thanks

ACID requires that you tell it which Soft Synth Parameters to "listen to" for automation purposes.

If Omnisphere does not label the parameters, this can be difficult.

Your problem has been reported by other users and we are investigating a method to permit automatic parameter recording with out first having to enable specific parameters for automation. I cannot say when this will happen in a specific update or release, but we realize that this is a problem and will be doing everything to get this resolved.

Thanks
