Subject:Acid 7a causing dropouts in Cubase SX3 and 4

Hello,

I'm not sure what to look for here as to why this is happening. I'm getting random dropouts caused by acid in cubase. It is also happening when I try using acid stand-alone, but is is a bit more infrequent. There are only 5 tracks of audio in Acid.

I run sample buffers of 64, 128, 256. It happens in all of them.

Sometimes when I press stop in Cubase, acid hangs.

Sometimes when I press stop, go into cubase's buffer settings (RME control panel) and change the buffers, Acid hangs or sometimes hijacks the sound card with noise which ends with the closing of acid. Re-opening it brings back the noise and requires a full system reboot for recovery. There are no plugins inserted in either program.

I'm not sure how to proceed here. I have error logs from the crashes and am willing to hunt for a solution but am unsure where to look.

Win XP sp3
Cubase SX3 (final version) and CB 4.5.2
P5WDH Deluxe Mother board
Intel Q6600 Processor
2gig Corsair
Nvidia 7600g GS
RME HDSP aes32 with latest firmware and driver

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We have reports of ACID Pro 7 problems when ReWired to hosts.

We are looking at the issues and will address them in a future update.

Thanks,
Peter
