It's like this... I've got the media manager all set up & running in ACID Pro 7. When I load up the Sony Sound Series Loop and Samples reference library all the samples (in the search result column) are grayed out. The pictures for the different sample CD's pop up (if they aren't discontinued) to the right. I have alot of these sample CD's already on my computer. How do I get the media manager to recognize these libraries I own and apply the album art with them? If I click on the grayed out sample I get an error stating "You have selected a media file that is not available on your computer. This file is part of a Media Reference Library, which provides a reference to all of the content available in a collection. If you would like to purchase the collection that contains this media, click the Buy Now button in the Product Information pane." I don't need to buy I already own! I just want to add! Help, Please!

What the errors are trying to tell you is that selecting the loops and samples library as the media library is only for browsing for media that you might want to buy from Sony.

What you want to do is open the Default media library (or any other library you might have created) and go to Options | General tab and under Reference library select Sony Sound Series Loops and Samples and click OK. (the Options choice is under the last icon to the right on the media manager toolbar.) You want to do this BEFORE you add any loops.

Now when you add media to the media library, ACID will search the Sony loops and samples library and apply the appropriate tags if found.

I made my last attempt last night to make Media Manager work. I uninstalled everything to the bone using Revo. I uninstalled everything it told me to. The first had 7000-8000 bolded entries to remove. Although, some of these were under subheadings it took a long time. I got up to Native and it passed, then it said it had a problem with the VSS writer. I uninstalled that, whoops, didn't back it up and it doesn't exist in the wild. I figured, this machine will never work again. My machine didn't even need it.

I've tried everything I could, including following the exact instructions on the Media Manger, how to make Media Manager work.

The last time I saw media manager was in Acid Pro 2005. I guess I really don't need it. I have a folder system with my favorite 27.8 gigs of loops anyway and it works.

Sorry.

OK! That clears up the ?'s I'm having. I did select the Sony Sound Series for my reference library & things seem to be working better for me.

Thanks!
