All: I have recorded some long 16/44.1 pca files and saved them to an NTFS drive. Sound Forge 8 nor 9 won't open the files. One file is 3.0GB and the other is 2.8GB. It is interesting that I saved the files but can't open them. When I go to the File Open dialog box an single click on the file name, neither version of SF will display the summary info at the bottom of the box and eventually both applications hang. The files were created on the same computer using SF 8.0d build128 Any assistance would be appreciated. -D |

I would try running a disk check on the drive holding the files. Start --> Run --> cmd then press enter (if you're running Vista, you need to run the cmd as Administrator). Assuming the drive letter you saved the files to is d:, type the following then press enter: chkdsk d: /r Subststute the drive letter that it should be and let it do it's thing. Reboot if requested as there might be other files being accessed on that drive. |
