Hi All... and a Happy Holiday to everyone!

I have been using AP7 on a daily basis since its come out and I have noticed things with some plugins... I also noticed that some of you are also having similar problems...

First off... When using T-Racks or say PSP Vintage Warmer on my Master Bus, there is an extreme delay in the playback... the cursor position does not match what I am hearing as I watch it move as my song plays...

Also, I can not render any loops or audio segments while those plugins are on my master (or track) as well... if I dont turn the plugs OFF when rendering, my loop or audio comes out all out of time... this is major as sometimes I want to render things WITH thier FX on them so I dont have to run so many plugs at once.

Also... When using plugs on my master bus, I notice when I render my entire track that the beginning beat gets cut off in the render... therefore I always have to move my entire project to the right on the grid to leave some empty space before the first beat....

I never had these issues with AP6, so I am hoping the Acid Team is working on these things.

On a different note too... I am still have problems with SLOW performance in certain Zoom ratios... I hope this gets addressed soon as well....

As a whole, I am loving AP7... I just hope these inconveniences get sorted out soon.

All the best you you all!!

Dee

Hey Dee:

I think a number of us have been having problems with PSP Vintage Warmer and delay. I had another thread on this called something like Delay Compensation (somethingorother) very recently.

It doesn't just happen on the master buss for me, it happens sometimes when I use it as a track plug as well. For that reason, I'm not using it for the time being.

I believe that this *could* in fact be a problem with Acid and not with PSP. It's my understanding that any VST would have some sort of delay associated with it, and there is a delay compensation algorithm that the DAW (in this case AP7) must employ to correct for the inherent delay of the plug.
