Very odd problem with image posting, seems to have been a forum problem as I could see the image come and go between visits to this thread.

Can you see it now?

Sab wrote on 12/21/2008, 3:05 PM
Nope.

Not Found
The requested URL /eddie.con.carne/SB0sa8ySYII/AAAAAAAAAWs/nQwVXDbPCf8/iphoneaus.jpg was not found on this server.

And curiously if I'm not logged in I can at least see a link. When I log in I can't even see a link, just blank space. Wierd.

I'm logged in and I see the image clearly and consistently now.

Odd indeed. Anyone else see it or not see it?

(Also odd: that URL is incomplete.)

I couldn't see it until i tried a second time. It could be that site is refusing direct links, but the second time around it may think you're coming in from an appropriate referrer.

Judging just by the picture i'd say hogwash. It could be someone used the Windows XP background for the wallpaper on an iPhone. It means nothing.

Anybody got a link to an article about it?

Of course it's hogwash, I suspect that it is a case of the newsroom asking the production guys to come up with an image that shows an iPhone being used as a computer.

There was no original article, since it was on TV. Perhaps someone here recognizes the newsdroid and can identify the station and its web site.

But it's still a fun concept to imagine: True cooperation between Apple & MS - that will be the day. ;-)

The photo you linked to has a "photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com" watermark at the upper left. After looking at page after page of entertaining "photoshop disasters", I found the iPhone image here (near the bottom of the page):

Thanks, appreciate it!

Interesting with Parallels on the screen also, I hadn't noticed that.
