Gday... Ok so I've got my new acid 7 , was stoked to see freeze , we really needed that, thanx. OK Ive got 2 problems. No.1 This annoyance has been plaguing me since acid pro6, the pitch bend randomly goes bananas and keeps going bananas, unless the vsti has a specific control for switching off any pitch bend I cannot stop it. This occurs with all my instruments and regardless of audio driver. No.2 Vsti automation used to work fine, now however I have some very strange behaviour since I downloaded acid7. Seeing is believing check out this scren grab. [img]http://redtentacle.com/audio/acidbug_envelope.jpg Automation for vsti events draw up ok when set to read but produce no actual change to the soft synth instrument modulation. ( the regular track envelopes seem to work and display fine) If I set automation to touch and live record the automation, the automation is drawn up through to the next track with some other bizarre graphical representations. Now the automation will actual read and produce an audio response but I can't edit the automation graph (or squiggly nonsensical images, in the wrong track) that are actual modulating the audio . This all used to work just fine in acid6 BTW. Any advice on this would be great, otherwise maybe they are real bugs for your script crunchers to look at. This annoyance has been plaguing me since acid pro6, the pitch bend randomly goes bananas and keeps going bananas, unless the vsti has a specific control for switching off any pitch bend I cannot stop it. This occurs with all my instruments and regardless of audio driver. I have not been able to reproduce this. Can you provide me a specific VSTi or two that expose this problem? Can you decribe exactly what you are doing to reproduce this problem? WRT your No 2: I looked at the image. It appears that the AM Freehand plugin has a problem with how it reports its values for the X and Y control. It is producing out of range values. I have verified this in SONAR, Cubase (4 and 5), and Live. It also happens in ACID Pro 6, so this is not something introduced in ACID Pro 7. ACID should bound the values reported by AM Freehand like the other hosts do. However this will limit the amount of automation that can be recorded for these two controllers. I will make sure this is addressed for a future update/release. I have contacted the vendor of AM Freehand to see what they have to tell me. Peter |

I corrected the XY pad, let's see if that works for you...if you contact me from the contact page on my website, I'll give you the update, which btw is the full version. The free version has been updated as well and is online now. Message last edited on8/12/2009 10:16:40 AM byAngular Momentum. |
