Big video projection with Vegas

Hi
This post is not to look for help or to complain about a problem with Sony Vegas
by the opposite way.
We are creating AV sequences and projecting them onto buildings facades and water screen since 2004 using Sony Vegas Video and we are very happy with this program.
For the creation and edition we just do like everybody knows, with our limitations obviously.
Where we are doing something different than normal is with the video projection.
After many tests with several VJ software and Video Players we choose to stay inside Vegas and use it also for the projection, connecting the projector on the place of the second display. For what we need to do is enough
In that way we can project uncompressed video sequences with our projector matrix resolution (1024 x 768)
That is a very good quality for a big projection, but there are other advantages.
The fact to use Vegas to create and read the sequences gives us the possibility to correct all parameters every moment we need. That is a guaranty because always we have a lot of things to test and fix to really get the result we are looking for. And doing that in real time is a must.
For the show, we place the sequences in one video track,
doing a Region over each. In this way we use the shortcuts: numbers, L –K- J etc to change loops, read fast, slow, inverse.
Maybe in future versions we will be able to schedule and automate the reading !
After the show people came to ask questions about
our material and when we say them that we use Vegas they can`t believe it.
Do you?
We hop his tip can help somebody

Very imaginative - Care to share any of the details such as projector power, etc.?

The "Sample Text" at the beginning is kind of a give away :)

RalphM ,if you are looking to make a big projection obviously you need a powerful projector
At the occasion of those clips we have used a BARCO 10k lu. Quite expensive if you aren’t a big company.
But there are a way to have something good projecting the same image with two 5K lu projectors, currently cheap to buy or rent.
That is not possible for the water screen because you can’t fill up exactly both projections . And is also a bad way if you are projecting a deinterlaced video onto a conventional screen , because you never get the exactly field at the same time.
For a building façade that doesn’t make a big difference and you have more bright and contrast . Not twice more, but about 8k lu.
Good luck !
