Subject:Where are the recorded midi files?

I am on AP 7.0a and am wondering where the midi track recordings are. Are the midi tracks stored in the acid project file unless exported? I seem to remember in older versions they were treated like audio tracks and were stored with unique names in the default recording folder. Info appreciated-

The MIDI is recorded to memory and stored as part of the project.

You export either the clips or the project to standard MIDI files.

This was introduced in ACID 6, and ACID Pro 7 continues with this approach.
