ApplicationRegistration.exe??

I installed 8.1 today and when I try to run it, I get an error that says "ApplicationRegistration.exe has encountered a problem an needs to close".
I have rebooted the machine, but no luck. 8.0c seems to work fine. I am running XP64. Any ideas?

Has this been resolved? I am having the same problem, yet I could swear that I had used the 8.1 version early on. Like yourself, I can also use 8.0c.

Read the release notes for 8.1. It says it supports Vista 64bit. I'm not sure if that means it only supports Vista and not XP.
