Using Riot Gear with Vegas

In short: what is the best way to set up Vegas to use Co-Pilot Riot Gear ink flow FXs? Which Media Alpha Channel should I use and how should I set up the track Compositing Mode, so that I can "separate" just the ink before adding video background and Sony event fxs (color corrector, levels and sharpen) ? Also what is the best way to change the default white to a diffrent color, while trying to keep the smoke transparency effect?

I tried it once, but the plastic shields & combat batons made keyboard editing really tough. Oh...and just forget using any kind of DVD-menu 'bullet lists'.

Doesn't the tutorials give you any clues?
Source Alpha for track compositing mode.
Media Alpha looks like it should be premultiplexed but I'm uncertain with which color, seems to be grey reading the specs.

Mike - Vegas is almost bullet proof . It can take any kind of physical and intellectual abuse, so don't give up man ...

Bob - tutorials focus on Adobe's AF.
Problem with Source Alpha (for the track) is that the default black background of the white ink is still present after applying any kind of media alpha. I've used Add and this is OK but when I was trying to change the ink color than the color of the whole frame was changing. I know I'm missing something very basic...

"tutorials focus on Adobe's AF"

I kind of thought they would however from them one should be easily able to figure out how to do the same thing in Vegas.

Note that Vegas has a default bottom track of black. To see what you're doing add a track of gen media such as a color grad.
