Yes, ACID support third party VSTs. You need to install them and then make sure ACID knows where they are. This will typically be: c:\program files\vstplugins but could vary depending on where you installed the plug-in. ACID will then scan for any new plug-ins when you start it or manually tell ACID to scan for plug-ins. Peter |

Hi Peter, I do not understand how to manually scan for other plugins that are in my vst folder. Am I missing an icon or drop down menu? Where do I look? thx, Lou |

This was under the help section on acid... just search - vst From the View menu, choose Plug-In Manager if the window isn't already visible. Click the Configure VST button at the top of the Plug-In Manager window. (The little green symbol to the top right hand side) The Plug-In Configuration dialog is displayed. The dialog displays a list of folders where ACID looks for VST plug-ins. Indicate where your plug-ins are installed: If you want to add a new folder, click the Add button and then browse to the folder where your plug-in is installed. If you want to edit an existing folder path, select a folder in the Search Folder column, click the Edit button, and then browse to the folder where your plug-in is installed. If you want to remove an existing folder, select a folder in the Search Folder column and click the Remove button. Click the Scan button to start scanning your folders for plug-ins. Hi Peter, I could not firnd the plug in mgr, but did find that when I click the track efx green symbol, the usual efx box opens. From there, I clicked on the same green symbol to the right which shows a list of vst folders to use. Cool! Lou |

Lou, You should read the section of the User's manual titled: Organizing Plug-Ins and ReWire Devices This covers just about everything you need to know. I something is unclear, please don't hesitate to ask. Peter |
