Every new Dylan release is an event for me and this was no exception. Mississippi, from Love And Theft, was a song that I felt transcended Dylan's own limits of genius and I was simply amazed to hear three completely different interpretations - an obvious clue that he knew it was special too.

One of his band members said it was unbelievable that one of the best songs they recorded for Time Out Of Mind - Red River Shore - ended up being left off of the record. I agree one hundred percent. Dylan's unique retelling of this classic folk story (in two versions) is nothing short of stunning.

Yes Rick, those two songs are standouts amongst a great collection. I also particularly like Born in Time - a beautiful song. His singing is so warm and personal - not adjectives commonly associated with Dylan!
