Is there a way to stretch a MIDI clip to 200% or 50% (or any arbitrary percentage) of its original length?

I have some clips that I'd rather not re-record but I'm realizing that one of the sections either needs to be twice as fast or the other twice as slow or they aren't going to fit together.

Edit | MIDI Processes and Filters...

I recommend that you read the ACID Pro 7 User Manual and/or helpfile. Many of the questions you are asking are covered and discussed in both of these.

Ah, but aren't you glad you told me because I found a bug ;-)
(funny because i use that dialog ALL the time and never found that feature)

So first thing I did was select all of the MIDI clips in a project and scale them to 50%. I was shocked to see some clips got compressed practically to the first beat.

Of course as in most songs, the same MIDI clip was repeated several times. If this is true in a track and you select all the clips, the MIDI scale operation will apply once for every repeated clip, but every time the scale happens, it affects all copied clips.

So if you do this:

1. Record a MIDI clip
2. CTRL-drag it so you have 2 identical clips one after another
3. Select both clips and tell them to scale to 50% and move start times

Result:
You end up with both clips scaled to 25%.

If you had just selected the first clip it scales both to 50%, which is what I did.

I *guess* you could say that's not a bug, but it sure feels like the user would never intend for that result.

oops, another bug--no controllers (damper pedal, aftertouch, etc.) scale with the notes.
