Hello,
I'm new to the Acid forum and would like to introduce myself and ask a question.
I just purchased a pc from Rain Recording with a presonus firebox for my personal use and plan to eventually do some live recording with my 4 piece band. I also have a custom guitar refinishing business for my other creative side.
My question is when I try to record my guitar part over a drum loop, the sound is a bit behind.
This is only happening in my Acid Music Studio 7.0 software...
There is no latency issue with other software I'm using.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thank you,
Lou

Are you using ASIO drivers in ACID?

ASIO drivers have the lowest latency. You can set this under "options/audio." At least I think thats the way you do it in Music Studio.

I also use the Presonus FireBox and I do not have any noticeable latency. If you're using an input bus to record your guitar you should try lowering the fader on the Presonus mixer for the channel you're using (probably "Mic In 1"). Put it all the way to zero. I think that the clean signal sometimes bleeds through at the two signals are not 100% in sync and you hear an echoy effect.

I'm not in front of my computer but under the preferences in Acid there is an option to record as Beatmapped or single shot. Make sure it is on single shot. I think the default is Beatmapped so you have to change this.
