HP laptop- 1.6GHz Pentium M, 1GB RAM, Echo indigo PCMCIA card for ASIO First crash was first time I enabled recording on a track crashed straight to desktop. Re opening program took 100% cpu opening restored file- removed restored file- got an error about appcompat or sfasio.dll after program was simply sitting idle at track rename screen for a few min. Using latest XP Echo driver- I am on XP Home SP3- Have been using Acid since ver 2 and this might be my last upgrade- I have never had a copy on any OS or sys that felt trustworthy and that did not give crashes to desktop. Reason, Cubase, Live, rarely give probs and I just dont get confidence from this software which is a real bummer because I love it- chopper is brilliant, etc. but not even being able to push record without doubts as to whether it will crash or not really kills my creative flow and takes the wind out of my sails. I want to get to work and play and not second guess my software- this goes back a long time with Acid so apologies for the long winded rant. Any tips or suggestions appreciated- Clifford |

I'm using an Echo MiaMIDI using the ASIO driver model without problems but, of course, the MiaMIDI's in a different family using a different set of drivers. Have you tried contacting Echo? |
