In the unavailable folder it has Absynth 4. In the all folder i can find absynth 4 FX2x8 and Surround. I used absynth as a synth today. but couldn't get it to work as an effect. I can't find z3ta fx or the synth at all. z3ta is in a different folder from the majority of plugs i use. How can i get it to scan the other folders? there is no option for choosing other locations in the preferences. |

In the unavailable folder it has Absynth 4. The Soft Synths Unavialable or the Audio FX? In the all folder i can find absynth 4 FX2x8 and Surround. You cannot find the Absynth4FX? Is it in the Failed folder of the Audio FX? z3ta is in a different folder from the majority of plugs i use. How can i get it to scan the other folders? there is no option for choosing other locations in the preferences In the Plug-In Manager view, there is a button on the toolbar called "Configure VST". Click on this and you will find the new dialog to set up additional VST search paths. Peter |

Correct. You cannot use a Soft-synth as an FX. Peter |

z2ta and absynth can be used as either. I was doing it with z3ta today. i still can't get absynth to do it in 7. for some reason it's going into the ignored or failed file. i don't recall which now that i don't have it up and running. |

If you right click on failed plug-ins, you can force a rescan. If the plug-in can be used it will be added to the available list. Peter |

Where is the "Audio FX" folder that Acid uses to add chains; also referred to as the the Plug-in Chooser. Meaning, what is the folder path if installed on the C: Drive. I only ask because I want to use the iZotope mastering effects in Acid and I am convinced that I can copy and paste them into the audio FX folder in order for them to work. Perhaps, this will not work; and if does not work, any insight to how one could do this? The iZotope plug-ins came with Sound Forge 9.0 Thanks!
