I really like this version of Acid Pro7a ..I've been using Acid since Acid Pro 3.0.. .......Here's what happening...
open acid pro 7a, go to explorer window and right click and select add to project a file , the file is ( video is 29.970fps, 320x232x24, H.264 and the audio is 48k, 16bit stereo, MPEG-4 ) ...no problem it loads and plays back fine in the timeline ,video playing in the preview window.............double click on the timeline file to set the loop region and then select render as from the file menu , to render just the audio portion as an Mp3 file ( just the default settings)......render mp3 file fine........go back to the main screen and there is no audio output...meters on the track and in mixer window are showing playback......can't find anything changed in the output settings.......had to restart acid and then everything was working fine again.........

I also have odd audio drop outs and I'm trying to nail down exactly when it happens. I've been experimenting with some VSTs (RealGuitar, z3ta+ synth). I record some very basic midi tracks. Sometimes on playback there is no audio. I can see the trackmeters moving (and sometimes I don't). I can go into midi edit mode and click on individual notes and hear them but not on playback. On one occasion I had to duplicate the track and delete the original and then playback was back again.

I need to do some more experimenting but something glitchy is going on.

I'm using 7a on a fast dual-core Win XP3 notebook running ASIO through an Edirol UA-700.

i have a similar problem. My project yesterday was OK. Today I have this glitchy problem. The only difference in my computer is that I installed the latest Flashplayer.
Inspiron 9400 notbook with XP SP3
I have am M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB sound box, The glitch didn't go away when I swithed to a Digi002 (I'm working in surround sound, but the problem is still there in stereo. Playing with latency/buffer size didn't help.
