Every time I boot, 15% of the boot time is spent "Initializing Interactive Tutorials" Can I turn this off? |

No, you cannot disable the intialization. How long is 15%? 2 seconds? 30 seconds? For me it flashes past. Peter Message last edited on11/15/2008 10:49:28 AM bypwppch. |

2-5 seconds. It's less of the fact that it takes some time (less worrisome now that Acid doesn't crash on Vista with 7) but more that I'm thinking "are these things using up resources that otherwise wouldn't be needed. You're fast at the reply, man! |

Since ACID Pro 7 is the first version of ACID Pro to support Vista, I don't know what point you are trying to make. The tutorials are part of the product. They cannot be disabled, nor is it likely we will. I will make sure that we look to insure that initialization for the tutorials are as optomized as possible. Peter |

the only point i was making was that the boot time wasn't an issue as much anymore because acid pro 7 doesn't crash. |

Oh. I guess I don't understand your need to make a comparison about a version of ACID that does not support Vista and one that does. Peter |

The tutorials are part of the product. They cannot be disabled, nor is it likely we will. No chance for a system option? This scenario mirrors that of the big outcry over Media Manager a few moons ago. We could switch it on or off depending on the requirements. Now I see that it's totally optional for AP7 and I like that it is. I would never use the tutorials myself but for those that would - it would be nice to have a system option that says "Enable Interactive Tutorials (Restart Required) or similar... Just some feedback for you. Cheers! VP |
