Subject:AP7 Crashing More Than Ever..

I recently updated to ap7a and it is still crashing, locking up, whatever you want to call it... it's killing me. At first I blamed it on having too many vsts open (I am using a UAD2 card and Kore FX as well as the Kore Player) When I had everything running it was gltiching and then it would freeze up and shut down.

Today I am using a wav file - I have no vsts open I am simply trying to fix a song from the 70's - making it hold it's tempo by locking the beatmapping in place. (yep it's real fun haha)
Everytime I get half way through the song it locks up and I have to shut down ap7.

I don't know what to do.. please help me. Thanks.

Please add your system specs to your profile and make them visible.

What audio hardware are you using?
What audio driver are you using?

What do you mean by "locking the beatmapping in place"?

Thanks
Peter

Hardware - Dell XPS 400
MBox2 Pro
Roland Fantom X8

Driver - I am not using Pro Tools so I had to download the drivers meant for use with other Systems (i-tunes, acid) per the rep at digidesign.

BTW I keep choosing Mbox Pro as my audio device preference and yet sometimes acid shuts down and when I reload it - mbox pro is not under the choices for audio device. Any ideas?

Locking: Zooming in on the beatmapped file Then double clicking to lock the first marker in it's position next moving/streching the next measure and locking it's marker, so that the song plays in perfect time.

I have the MBox 2 and do not have the problem you are decribing.

What version of the drivers are you using?
Are you selecting the ASIO or Wave drivers in ACID Pro 7?

Do you have any service packs installed for Vista?

Peter

Driver I'm using... Standalone Digidesign Windows Audio Drivers v7.4 for Windows

I am using SP1 for Vista Home Basic

If you mean under preferences it only offers....
Microsoft Mapper
Direct Sound Surround Mapper
Windows Classic Wave Driver
Mbox2 Pro

I always choose Mbox 2 Pro... is this correct?
