installed the 7a patch to a working just fine 7.0 install. now I can not auto preview samples.

Auto preview works fine here in Acid Pro 7.a installed over working version of 7.0. Just a thought.....you have probably already checked this, but is the 'auto preview' button, which is next to the stop button just above the loop preview window, pushed in? If not, then auto preview won't work. I had several check boxes, etc. come unticked when I installed 7.a.

Auto preview works fine for me too. It was on by default with AP7 and stayed on by default in 7.0a.

So far Acid Pro 7.0a is quite robust. I note that the forum really quieted down after the patch was released. OMG, there's nothing to complain about!

Yes, I must admit that this version is quite amazing. I have had Acid Pro since the 2.0 days, and I always had enough small niggles with it that it kept me from using it for my main daw, but I must say that those days have now ended. I find myself digging deeper into the program, and learning to make peace with any of the remaining things that I have not been quite comfortable with in the past. Just little things, such as the way the tools are selected, and such. It is now well worth the effort. Quite fun to use now.

I'm having some problems with previewing sounds in 7.0a as well. The preview stops playing when i try to adjust the preview volume. in acid 6.0, the preview would keep playing while I did this. Anyone else having THIS problem??

I am not able to reproduce this behavior. Do you have any more information to help us reproducet this behavior?

Yes, I have found that I need to enable "multiple-selection preview" in "Options Menu/Other Tab" in order to get preview playback to work properly. If this option is not selected, the preview stops playback when I right click anywhere, or attempt to adjust the volume. I also have a problem with short files, or files previewing as "one shots". These files seem to have a stutter when they preview. An example being that if I preview a kick drum, I hear two quick kicks instead of just one. I have not been able to isolate this to the preview option selection yet. This behavior does not seem to happen all the time.

Changing preview volumn during preview works fine here, as well.
