Hi! Is there any way to move mixer tracks left or right to reorder them in the mixer view? I figured out how to do it with the audio and MIDI trax by moving them in the track view, but what about the synth, FX and master trax? Are they just knid of in a fixed position based on the order of the buttons to view or hide them? If this is not possible, is it on the radar for a future update? I cant imagine Im the only one who would like to have the MASTER track appear in the first slot. Message last edited on11/15/2008 11:07:17 AM byohmaya. |

Bus channels can be reorganized from the Mix Console or the Bus Tracks ruler. Just left mouse button drag the bus from its icon to where you want it. Note that Buses and tracks cannot be intermixed. Peter |

Thanks Peter - so it looks like the Maswter can only go as far left as the first bus or FX track - not to the left of the MIDI or aduio tracks |

Correct. Busses cannot be moved into or before tracks. Peter |

I prefer to view only busses, FX Inserts and the master fader. The option to move the master all the way to the left would be great! Doesnt make sense to me why they cant be arranged into any order in the mixer window..... |

As you describe your workflow, you can easily move your master bus all the way to the left of your buses. Since you do not display tracks, then the master bus will always be the left most - other than the preview bus, which cannot be moved but hidden. We do not allow intermixing tracks and buses as this is not permited on the main time line. The main time line seperates tracks and bus tracks. Yes, you are right, I am able to do that as long as tracks are not in view. Thats good enough for me. Thanks for the explanation! Might we ever see some of the other track options incorporated into the preview channel? Such as a Pan or Key selection? What I would love to see in Acid Pro is the ability to put effects on the preview Channel! If I could put effects on while I previewed sounds, I think it would be easier to identify sounds that would work in my project. Such as, if I were looking for a bassline, I might throw a lowpass filter on the preview, and be able to hear what something might sound like, instead of bringing the sound into acid to experiment with. Perhaps its just not possible, but I sure think it would be a cool feature! |

Might we ever see some of the other track options incorporated into the preview channel? I never considered this a need. Something that we will discuss. Peter |
