Subject:Reset MIDI--can we give it an easier shortcut?

I find I'm using reset MIDI constantly, but CTRL-ALT-F7 sure seems like way too much work to press. Is there any way we can either have a customize feature or just make it some basic key--something that doesn't require a modifier? Is there a reason it's not just "r" or "F7" without the CTRL and the ALT at least? |

You can reassign this using the Customize Keyboard set up. It is on the tools menu. Is there a reason it's not just "r" or "F7" without the CTRL and the ALT at least? F7: Assigned to Generate MTC command. You can reassign this to Reset MIDI. 'r': Its main assignement is to insert a Region. It can be assigned to other things other than global commands. "Reset MIDI" is a global command, so you cannot assign 'r' to it. Peter Message last edited on11/13/2008 10:01:18 PM bypwppch. |

Sweet. Thanks Peter. I should have looked for the customize command before I complained ;-) |

It always helps to check the documenation or help files. Many times I hear that we don't support this or can't do this, when in reality we do. Peter |

Reset MIDI is also an available toolbar icon. IMHO it should be on the toolbar by default but that's one of the first modifications I make when I install a new version of ACID is to customize the toolbar and place the Reset MIDI button on there where I can easily get at it. ~jr |
