Witch do you prefer for multitrack recording, is there any benefits using Acid

If you're talking about straight audio recording, Vegas still has a few features that have not yet been ported to Acid, but if you want to mix audio, loops and midi, then it must be Acid.

The new Acid has some nice mixing and "Elastique" features though, so I'd say you could use either and get satisfactory results.

Agreed. Vegas is a lot more like a multitrack recorder. Since the vast majority of my recording is live performances with nothing else added Vegas is by far the better choice for me. It just lets me get the tracks down without 'helping'.
