Am I missing something? In AP6, when I was doing a podcast voiceover, I could plug in my Logitech USB headset/mic, set the input aduio device to Windows Classic Wave Driver, select my headet's in/out. arm an audio track, select the logitech input and monitor the input signal. With AP7, I am setting up the same way but when I create the track, select the Logitech mic as my input and arm it for record, I dont have the option to monitor the input signal. There is no option in the device dropdown to toggle input monitoring. The only device I can monitor is my ASIO audio interface. I checked the help files and unless Im missing something, is it true that you can only monitor input in AP7 if you are using an ASIO device? If so, does that mean I cant do my podcast voiceovers with the USB headset any more if I want to monitor the input signal? |

I think I may have solved it by adding the headset to ASIO4ALL. Now AP7 allows me to monitor it. So it has to be an asio device to monitor the input in AP7? Message last edited on11/9/2008 8:04:31 AM byohmaya. |

So it has to be an asio device to monitor the input in AP7? Yes, and it has always been like this for ACID and Vegas. Peter |
