I have narrowed it down to the VST scanning process that is bringing all this malware into itself. Startup time has increased to about an hour and we are not done yet. Is there a way to stop the vst scan process in any way but let it go through the whole process bringing all this garbage into AP7 for cleanup and removal later. Should I unistall and reinstall? |

ACID defaults to the path defined here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VST If this is empty or does not exist, then we default to program files/VSTPlugins We scan what is in here. If you have stuff in here that loads up all of this, then we load it. There is nothing else we can do. If you want to change this, then put in a different path and start ACID. You can then point ACID to other locations where you don't have things that load other things that you do not want loaded. Peter |

Understood, is there any way of stopping the scanner without starting AP7. |

No, the scan is automatic at start up. Peter |
