tishell32.dll This is trying to be loaded by AP7.

Created as a process on disk
Enabled as an In Process Object/Server - Common with DLL Injections

The filename TISHELL32.DLL was first seen on Mar 17 2008 in the following geographical region of the Prevx community:
The UNITED KINGDOM on Mar 17 2008
The following file size has been seen:
* 3,435,600 bytes * 3,219,136 bytes

Files with the name TISHELL32.DLL have been seen to have the following Vendor, Product and Version Information in the file header:
* Acronis; Acronis True Image Shell Extensions; 9,5,0,8076

File Type
The filename TISHELL32.DLL refers to many versions of an object.

I'm glad AP7 is fishing all this malware out for me to physically remove but can we keep out eyes on the music.

The file is not being loaded here - nor does it exist on my machine. Nor do any of the other files you have listed.

Do you honestly believe that AP7 would have anything to do with malware? Best give your "suspect" OS install a good cleaning....

Most likely you have installed something that registers itself as a codec or some other DirectX type filter. When ACID enumerates for such things, it is just reading what the registry tells it is installed. ACID then attempts to determine whether it is a plug-in of importance for either processing or rendering.

OK, As I Google these .dll they are all coming up as way to call home to momma.

They are everywhere. AP7 is finding so many of them it could be marketed as a malware detector, Adobe, a great contender for the award of the century.

AP7 was working fine, with the assorted crashes I expected until I hit scan and that was it. There isn't enough time left in the world to wait while AP7 tries to install these gigantic programs.

It went from a very fast start to an hour on some spyware that is attached to just about every program.

The scanner is just doing it's job, I understand. I just have to find a way to shut the scanner down.

I choose not to share, sell, buy and let anyone use software I have, even under duress. $250,000 plus state's prison time ain't worth it.

Warez probably has AP7 already, which is worse, his spyware or battling against all the companies who think they are losing king's ransom's. People are going to get it free or not buy it because they can, and other people would rather pay for software and not get into the system.

Any suggestions.

Just what the heck are you scanning anyway. My startup scan of my one and only VST directory takes like 15 seconds?

If you want to shut it down - go to Task Manager and kill the ACID process...but it sounds like you have major problems if you are standing around watching the screen for an hour....like you installed AP in the wrong place to begin with.

Sounds like it's scanning dll's in the Windows\System32 directory or something rather than the C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins directory.

I have use taskmanager to shut it down everytime. I had all the normal crashes I expected, but it started fast and the program was up until I hit scan. Then it started finding other things.
