Subject:Vst Folder Scan Hang...AP7

I cant even get past the Vst folder scan at start-up.
There should be a way to redirect this at install so we can manually direct it later.

As it is I cant use AP7. Do I need to uninstall both AP6 & AP7?
Then reinstall 7?
Thanks for any advice.

Temporarily rename your vst folder and start ACID. Then name it back and do the scan from within ACID.

Have a look at the VST grovel log: vst_grovel.log

Depending on which OS you are using it is located:

XP: X:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Sony\ACID Pro\7.0

Vista: X:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Sony\ACID Pro\7.0 for Vista.

This should tell you which plug-in caused problems.
