There's a reason why they invented FInale and Sibelius.

Back in the '90s I had emagic's Notator on the Atari which had full notation ability, and this was developed through to Logic Audio, which is now Mac only.

I doubt that Acid will add this feature - personally I now prefer the piano roll, it's more direct, but if you need to produce scores, you'll have to use one of these other softwares ... or get out the old pen!

Thank you for you replys.

ACID has served me wonderful!, I have accomplished dreams though sonic depths and explorations of the world of sound and music. Least we forget the creative aspect and ACID is a wonderful tool for capturing creativity.

They would be mad to neglect music notation, I do not want to be skipping from programmers logic here and there, I want to remove the learning curve and adopt what I am familiar through the progressive development of the creative tool that I use.

I am at a stage where I require this Notation, and is a doodle on programming and resources compared to what ACID have implemented to date.

Best of ingenuity in waiting to you all

I agree it would be a really nice feature. I like seeing things in standard music notation form. While it is easier to compose on the piano roll screen once you get used to it, it's still nice to see the format i grew up with and played from for 40+ years.

However, the primary purpose of such a feature would be if you are using ACID as a compositional tool for music that you intend to have performed by live musicians. ACID really isn't positioned in that market; it's a finishing tool rather than something used to start off the process. It would be up to SONY to decide if such a feature would be useful enough in their target market to warrant the expense of developing it.

Meanwhile, i'm sure there are lots of good MIDI to Music Notation converters available. Try google or tucows and you might even find some for free or almost no cost.
