Subject:7 seems to be so easy compared to 6, anyone agree?

I had my first crash after three days usage. I had the crash details but I lost them in the process of getting to the forum. I was using the demo. I will get it to crash again. I was using Melodyne Plug-in at the time. I was using a number of effects after it but had some of them checked. I've had Melodyne for quite a while. When it was recording the vocal to be corrected, it was doing something I'd never heard before anywhere. A cross between hash, drop out, distortion, etc. I corrected the vocal and it played back the same only corrected. My waves are all working, all loops are working, almost everything except some plugs that are for different DAW's, so far, the process of recording, adding vst's, vsti's, and generally everything is so much easier than 6 which I spent a lot of time with prior to getting tired of the constant crashing. I booted again and basically the same thing happened. Please let me know if I should or should not post the crash details in this forum. Were you really able to get the Melodyne plugin (as opposed to a melodyne standalone) to work in AP6? I tried it a few times and it always made AP6 crash or freeze. Many others have reported the same problem. So I'm surprised to hear you imply that it worked in 6 and crashes 7. Peter from Sony told us to "stay tuned" about Melodyne compatibility with AP7. I wonder whether he has any new news on the topic. |

Nothing new yet. We are having discussions with them and should get the problems ironed out. Peter |

I believe that Peter Neubäcker has broken some rules of audio physics. I suggested to Peter N. that he bypass the middleman when he perfects the polyphonic Direct Note Access Celomony Melodyne. He seemed confused that I could envision that he has the whole recording world in his hand. I don't think he realizes that he really doesn't need the rest of the audio recording market, if he makes his own Direct Note Access MultiTrack. He may be trying to spread the wealth and make friends. Actually, I stopped using 6 quite a while ago, before I bought Cre8 and the Plug In Uno, it was just too much to handle crash wise. I bought Cre8 and Peter H. gave me the plug in. The plug in works in AP7, kind of if you are looking for a real unusual vocal sound but eventually crashes it. I checked out my post and it does look like I was using it with 6, but actually I was using it with Tracktion 3. The Direct Note Access Plug In 2 was delayed until, first quarter '09. The excitement and possibilities of this fascinate me plus I qualify for a free upgrade. Watching the video of him taking polyphonic audio blobs apart and do as he wished with them caused me to say, "How'd he do dat!" Message last edited on10/29/2008 8:49:52 PM byb4dawn. |
