I am curious.
Or what projects have you completed with the Vegas.
Curious.:-)
My experience is that Vegas excels at "comping" performances. For
example, if I have several takes of a vocal I can combine them into a
single track much faster in Vegas than with anything else that I've
used. The EQ, though quite good, doesn't meet my needs for final
mixes, however.

I use it for mixing and editing...
If you want to see a vegas mixed product that will make you ill, and
wish you NEVER touched that acid back in the '60s, check out

a very strange guy....and for what he wanted, I never would have been
able to do this in a timely fashion in any other software Ive ever
seen
Hi!
I have a digital audiostudio, and i use Vegas for recording and
mixing.(dual processor makes it possible).
If have mixed about 12 CDs this year(all with Vegas)
I do especially acustik music - kind of unplugged.

I'm using Vegas Video (just the audio portions) to replace my old
recording system PARIS. Even though PARIS is a great platform, it
had many features I would never use. So, I sold it and got Vegas
Video. Don't get me wrong, I loved and still love PARIS. But so
far, Vegas Video has been a real charm to use. I've recorded only
three songs, but no problems whatsoever. And they were easy to
record and fast to process.
On a side note, I've even gotten rid of my old hardware MIDI gear
(sound modules), and am using Nemesys GigaStudio along with Cakewalk
to write my MIDI tracks. Then I use GigaStudio to record my 24 bit
WAV tracks one at a time. Then I use Vegas Video along with Waves
NPP I and NPP II to arrange, mix, and whatever to those WAV files. I
then record live vocals and guitar to the mix and yippie - a finished
song.
I'm just an amature musician writing and recording in my home, but I
gotta tell you, Vegas Video sure makes it fast to record.
