Hello, can anyone explain how do I get Acid and Reason to play both through rewire. I want to play a song in Acid and to play midi file in Reason so that I can find suitable sounds in Reason? Thanks in advance |

In ACID select Insert Soft Synth and when the Soft Synth Chooser window comes up, click the ReWire Devices tab and select Reason (Mix L/Mix R). Then in the Soft Synth Properties window click the Open ReWire Device Application button to start Reason and it should load automatically. Now you can switch over to Reason and load any file or project or modules you want and play them from ACID. (I cover this step-by-step in the book Instant ACID) ~jr Message last edited on10/13/2008 4:37:59 AM byJohnnyRoy. |

You can also rewire individual channels into ACID in much the same way, which allows you to apply VST effects with to your individual instruments in Reason. Rewire is pretty freaking phenomenal. |

^ Just remember that you have to route the instruments or submixes in reason through the reason audio thingey and create more channels. You can't just use the regular reason mixer setup that just sends two channels of stereo to the audio outs ... or, redundantly, you have to bypass that final mixer in reason. pHuN |
