Subject:Problem with the "Join" function...

Hi All, I'm demoing the trial ver of AMS 7, and am having difficulty successfully using the "Join" feature. I've got an audio file where I've split the file into several separate events, and now want to seamlessly rejoin them. Following the manual's instructions, I'm simply selecting the individual 2 or 3 separate events and clicking "Join". The program joins events but it is *not* joining the events I selected; it appears to be joining some other sections or events of the file. Any suggestions? Thx in advance. ~ peace, Kevin J. |

Not sure why join isn't working for you, but ... why do you need it? Simply butting the sections up to each other on the timeline will have the same effect. There's no real need to have them be one single piece. |

I mean, isn't that exactly why the "Join" function exists? .... to quickly butt 2 events together without having to tediously drag them together? I need the events to perfectly butt up against each other, with no audible gap, no overlap, and hence no hesitation in the groove. ~ peace, Kevin J. If you have snapping enabled then this should be very easy. Move the events so that they are close to butting, and ACID will snap them into position for you. |
