Subject:How to add drums and piano?

I have a setup to record piano and voice, but want to add drums and additional piano tracks using music notes I have written. Is that something I can do using this program? For example, if I have the music, can this program -- or another -- add drums, percussion, or a second layer of piano? I would love your input.

Hey dude,

For drums I use either/both:

Rayzoon Jamstix 2: http://www.rayzoon.com/jamstix2.html

Fxpansions BFD 2: http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=53&tab=148

You get higher quality drum sounds from bfd2...though jmstix has some amazing stuff that would take too long to explain. Check them both out and post what you think.

Piano I use Native Instruments Akoustic:

For drums I use Native Instruments Battery 3. Easy to use and great results.

To add the second layer of piano you can just arm a second track and play the new part like you did the first one, unless you have to use the sheet music...then i would recommend plugging it in to a midi track and using a vst to play it back. Google free piano vst and you'll find lots of them. You would then just open that in acid. For drums I use session drummer in sonar, and EZdrummer (vst). good luck.
