EQ

Just read a great article in the July Mix magazine about
EQ. Apparently in the digital world there are two types of
EQ:

Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) which essentially models
analog EQ and produces phase shifts when used.

and Finite Impulse Response (FIR) which eqs without
altering the phasing. This method however takes more CPU
power.

I think I already know the answer, but which style is the
Vegas EQ effect. And if my suspicions are correct are there
any FIR plug-ins that can be purchased?

Thanks,
Brett Sherman

Brett:

Don't pay too much attention to the heroin-induced musings of a nice
guy like Stephen St.Croix. Since he is partially responsible for
unleashing the "Paris" fiasco on unsuspecting musicians, he should be
required to answer the obvious question: what type of eq is PARIS
using?

Victor.
