Mpeg and AC3.dll not loaded?

In trying to resolve my problem with opening MP3 files in Vegas 8.1 as well as a new found problem of not being able to render out to Mpeg2 when choosing "render to new file" i found that when looking at system info from within Vegas, i see the following.

MPEG
mcplug.dll version: Not loaded
AC3
ac3plug.dll version: Not loaded

Could this be the source of my problems?

no, it only loads those when they're used.

did you install DVDA too?

Yes, i installed DVDA5 as well and have even used to create a few dvds. I am reinstalling media manager right now to see if that has any effect.

I reinstalled Media manger and it seems to have fixed both my problems.

I had the same problem. Did you recently install an itunes update? After reinstalling Vegas 8.1 it is working again.
