In one of the newer updated there is a process called resample 2 available in the Batch tool. In this process there are three options for interpolation:

Lin
Lagrange
Sinx/x

Linear is the same a resample 1 (the orriginal alg) right?

Lagrange and Sinc (sinx/x) are almost identical typically right?

Is the quality of the anti-imaging filter improved?

Does the quality of these algs approach something like Isotope, or Voxengo?

Why is this process not available from the main menu, and only hidden in the batch processor?

It's an internal tool that isn't supposed to show up at all. I just missed removing it from the Batch Converter enumerator. Since it does show up:

- linear is equivalent to quality=1 in Process->Resample
- Lagrange is actually a third order B-spline method. Better than linear, but not nearly as accurate as the sin(x)/x interpolator.
- sin(x)/x is the same algorithm used for quality=2-4, I think the length is equivalent to quality=3, but I don't recall the window-type used, so it may not be exactly the same as any of them.
- the filters are faster, but not as sharp and do not have linear phase

Process->Resample is going to provide more accurate results in almost all cases. Better to stick with that.

Thanks for the info.

ANy chance to get the Izotope resampling alg into SF so that we can use it in the Batch processor?

Seems like it should be there already since you guys are already working with them...
