Acid Pro 6 and Korg M1/Wavestation -ACID Product Family

Anyway, CPU usage isn't going above 20%, but the program goes into "Not Responding" mode when I try to Render, Switch output sends, and most other tasks. I have Disabled all non-system start-up options in msconfig. One day I was able to use this fine on my macbook pro dual-booting into Windows and on my desktop PC with Windows. Both have XP Pro SP-2. I'm using an Echo Audiofire4 firewire interface... I have just updated to the latest driver, but still no go. PLEASE HELP! If your suggestion works after I test it I'll paypal you something as a gesture of appreciation! PLEASE HELP!
