Subject:Importing MIDI into separate tracks

Hi All,

I'm running Acid Music Studio on an XP system. When importing a type 1 standard MIDI file, which has MIDI data on separate tracks, Music Studio imports the file as a type 0 file,...that is, all MIDI data gets imported into one track, which is definitely not what I want.

Is there a way to import a type 1 MIDI file so that the MIDI data winds up on multiple tracks, as intended?

What version of AMS are you using?

Please fill out your system specs!

I am using Music Studio ver 6.0a (Build 66).

I have filled out my system information in my profile page and selected "Display system information on my forum profile page" as you requested. But just in case, here are the specs:

Pentium P4, 3.2 GHz
1 GB RAM
Windows XP Home Edition, SP2
Video Card: Radeon X300 SE 128 MB
Sound Card: SB Audigy 2 ZS

Thx for any assistance.

Music Studio 6 does not provide the functionality you want.

Music Studio 7 adds this functionality.
