Can someone please help me. I have a windows XP and got this CD 2 days ago and can't figure it out. All I want to do is to record my music that I sing. Can someone give me the basics as to what I need to do? Thanks in advance |

The basics are: Drag, Drop, Paint The 2nd CD came with a bunch of sample loops. Copy them onto your hard drive. Then in ACID, navigate to the folder you place them in using the explorer and highlight each wav file to listen to it. When you find one you like you simply drag and drop it onto the timeline. Then drag your cursor over the timeline in the areas that you want the loop to play. This painting of the loop controls when it plays and when it doesn't. Continue adding loops like this until your composition is complete. Iacobus and I wrote a book called Instant ACID that will get you up and running quickly. There are also a training DVDs at VASST.com and at the Sony web site. Don't forget to check YouTube as someone is always willing to show off their ACID skills with a tutorial or two. ~jr |
