DVD Architect Project Properties Problem??

Hi,
I am currently working on a HDV project in which I rendered a small portion of in Vegas Pro 8 for viewing in DVD Architect 5.0
I was looking at my Project Properties in DVD Architect and noticed under Disc Properties that my Video Default is set at the Resolution of 720x480(NTSC).
I clicked on the down arrow tab to choose a resolution for my HDV and there "was not" a choice given. All it shows is the following;

720x480(NTSC)
704x480(NTSC)
720x576(PAL)
704x576(PAL)

I worked & rendered in HDV 1080-60i and set my rendering options in Vegas to the following;
MainConcept MPEG-2
Audio: 384 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, Layer 2Video: 29.97 fps, 1440x1080

The project I'm working on was filmed with my HDV Sony HDR-HC7. I want to make sure that my video is rendered out of DVD Architect to DVD in HD not 720x480. Could someone please point me in the right direction to correct the resolution needed instead of 720x480? Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you, Ray

Ray, standard DVDs are 720x480. There is no option to create a standard DVD at a higher resolution.

Are you trying to create a DVD or a Blu-Ray disc?

If you're trying to create a DVD, you can't go higher than 720x480 (for NTSC) -- that is the highest resolution that the DVD format allows.

If you're trying to create a Blu-Ray disc, are you using DVD Architect Pro 5.0? No other version offers Blu-Ray output.

Is there any way to create an HD DVD that will play on a Toshiba HD DVD player that those of us suckered into early adoption of a failing format?

Not in DVD Architect, there's not. I suspect it wouldn't have supported HD-DVD even if it hadn't been withdrawn.

OK, is there a way to do it outside of DVDA?
