Hey! When I am trying to play the songs in the "Songs and Loops" folder in the "Content" folder, I get the following message: ----------------------------------------------- Plug-in: 'Sony Track EQ' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed. Plug-in: 'Sony Track EQ' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed. Plug-in: 'Sony Track EQ' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed. ---------------------------------------------- I have the content folder saved onto my computer under the "My Music" folder, so it is not reading anything of the CD. When I go to the directory "VstPlugins" in my local harddrive, I find a single file named "installer.phdata". The file is 247 bytes, and doesn't appear to be a plugin. Please help as soon as possible :) |

What version of ACID do you have? It could be a bad installation since the Sony Track EQ is a standard DirectX plug-in for all Sony versions of ACID. If you have an older Sonic Foundry version of ACID this could be the problem. ~jr |

The version of acid I have is Sony Acid Music Studio 7. I tried reinstalling it, but it didn't work. It has working acidfx plugins, and expressfx plugins, but that's all. I don't even know where those plugins are stored because they aren't in my vstplugins folder. Do you have any idea why that certain plugin isn't working? Also, when I load up another song (only for this song), it says the plugin " " couldn't be loaded. I doubt there is a plugin named blank. Thanks for the reply, by the way! :) |

Maybe the project you are opening is not intended for the Music Studio version of ACID? I don't have Music Studio 7 (I have ACID Pro). Perhaps Music Studio doesn't come with the same standard set of plug-ins. ~jr |

That can't be possible because the file came with acid music studio 7. It was on the CD with the installer. Also, why aren't there any plugins in my "vstplugins" directory? As mentioned before, the only things in there is one file named "installer.phdata". Again, thanks :) |

ACID does not install any VST plug-ins, that is why there is nothing in your VST plugins folder. All of the FX that come with AMS7 are DX. What is the name of the project you are loading? I will let you know what the problem is. Thanks Peter |

All the included songs from the folder labeled "content" that was on the SAMS7 DVD. Those specific files are: Backing Line.acd Funk It Up.acd Let It Go 2007.acd Morphing Creatures.acd * Technophobia.acd They all say "Plug-in: 'Sony Track EQ' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed." multiple times (I assume for each track). *In addition to the Sony Track EQ failing to load, Morphing Creatures also says "Plug-in: '' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed." Ok, so there aren't supposed to be any bundled VSTs? Then what is that file "installer.phdata"? Thank You Again :-) |

ACID Music Studio does not include the Track FX bundle. The projects in the content unfortunately use FX from these. This was a mistake in the bundled content. There is no work around as we do not provide the missing plug-ins as add ons. The projects will still work, but you will not have the missing FX available. installer.phdata is a file created during install when the VSTplugin directory is located/created. The installer 'service' generates this file when creating the directory. You can ignore it. Peter |
