Hi, Here’s a link to a track I just finished. I use AP3. Yer I know I’m way behind but version 3 seems to be enough for what I need at the moment. http://www.getyourgrooveon.com/mchad/songs/1343/ In terms of mixing I’m learning as I go. My mixing technique is simple – levels, panning and sometimes compression. My computer is not fast enough for too much effects activity. My main frustration when mixing with Acid is panning levels. Levels seem mismatched. Even if you have the track centred I still perceive the left channel as louder (and the meters show that). Then opening the mixdown in Sound Forge confirms it. Mysterious? If anyone is able to listen to this track and comment I thank-you. |

If you open the original sound file in Sound Forge does it show the left channel louder there? If so, all ACID is doing is reproducing that file. Centering a mono file on my system results in equal balance in both channels. |
