Subject:Scripting a plugin chain

Hi, I use a VST plugin to take a stereo MP3, process it with a plug which seperates it into the CFLE for 5.1 and saves. Then does the same again for the front channels and finally the rear.

Im a total script newbie but does anyone know if one exists that will do this (open, apply a plugin FX, process, save, repeat).?

Thanks

Have you tried the "Batch Converter"? This seems to do exactly what you are describing. Within the Batch converter you can even select a plugin chain if you want to do multiple plugin processes to multiple files. The batch converter comes with Sound Forge 8.0 and 9.0. If you want to modify the batch converter, then I think Sony has recently made the code of the script available.
