ok... I do weddings and my final burns are usually about 2 hours long. I know the best dvd for shorter burns are -DVD's but seems the majority of DL DVD's are +DL.. anyone have experiance with +DL DVD's and any suggestions on brands so it will play smoothly in most dvd players?
Thanks
IMO, you don't need double layer for 2 hour DVDs. Burning your video at 4 MBS is pretty good when viewed on most consumer equipment. I know there will be some variation of opinion on this, esp. those with higher end flat panels.
Use the bitrate calculator at videohelp.com to determine the video bitrate.
4MBS is an approximate fit for 2 hrs. 10 min. on a 4.7GB disc.
Render the video to the appropriate DVDA template in Vegas, and render the audio separately.
Individual results may vary.
Better buy single sided 8,5gb dvd, it's defenitly plays on all dvd-players... or yes, use really good transcoder, like Procoder 3.. Amaizing, what this soft can do on small bitrate! If You plan publish work with high bitrate(up to 9000), then it's not so important, witch transcoder You use...
