I just received Sound Forge with my Video Studio Platinum 9 package and need to score some music with my video. Is there a way to have the video on a separate window and not on the time line? Before someone tells me to RTFM, The Sound Forge manual that came with the package is very minimal and doesn't mention anything about scoring to video. Thanks in advance, -bK |

I dunno about the studio version, but look for View / Video Preview to show the video in a separate window. To get rid of the video track you can drag the mouse from the bottom of the video track up until it has a height of zero, or you could leave it there and see it both in the video track and the preview window. |

Chienworks is correct, you can access the Video Preview window in Audio Studio via the View menu, or by using the Alt+4 shortcut. You can also hide the Video Strip from the data window timeline with the controls on the Display tab of the Properties window. I'm sorry you didn't find the User Manual to be very useful, but there is a section on working with video files in the Online Help. That may provide more helpful information for you. |
