Help with software synths for electronics (ARM9) -Sound Forge - PC

I am starting working on a project which involves doing music and sound on an electronics device that uses an Arm9 processor. (This is the sort of processor commonly found in gameboys, cellphones etc). ARM is more or less a platform, and I understand there are numerous software apps written that run on the ARM9. I specifically want to research what software synths are available on ARM9, so I could have something like a software synthesizer for which I supply my own patches. I understand this forum is for SoundForge, but it is the primary sound forum I use everyday, so this seemed like a good place to start asking. Does anyone have any information on this topic, or could you please direct me to a forum somewhere where I can research this topic? Thankyou
